You (and you alone) will be given access to a new search engine: Super Google. You must select one of two versions:

  1. Super Google ‘Modern Era Edition’ – This search engine will allow you to search for anything (and I do mean anything) that happened between January 1st 1944 and yesterday at 11:59 PM (it is updated each day at midnight with the previous day’s events). You can search for ANYTHING that took place during that time frame, and you will get the results with 100% accuracy. Some examples might be: What was Lee Harvey Oswald thinking the moment he shot JFK? Which company is planning to release a secret new product that will likely cause their stock to skyrocket? Who commited that unsolved murder I just heard about on the news? What did Sally really think of our date last night?
  2.  Super Google ‘Old School Edition’ – This version will allow you to search for anything from the dawn of time through December 31st 1943. Again, this is 100% accurate. If you can think of it, you can Super Google it. Some example searches might include:  What the most interesting thing Jesus said that his pals did not write down? What happened to the Roanoke Colony? What is the most valuable undiscovered object buried in the ground and where is it located?

Which version of Super Google would you choose?

This month the commenter who gets the most ‘likes’ each week will win a digital copy of Kick by John L. Monk. Kick is a great book. Some have called it a cross between Quantum Leap and Dexter, and I think that’s an apt description.

In full disclosure, I know John, and he has written about my book on his website. However, I wouldn’t be giving this book away if I didn’t love it.  Check out the 51 5-star reviews on Amazon. Note: You will need an Amazon account in order for me to get you the book if you win.

  1. Definitely the modern edition, no contest. The real question is would I use it to help the world or help myself. I'm thinking I first use it almost strictly for personal gain with the plan to become a Bruce Wayne-Batman type figure and stop dastardly deeds before they happen.
But would wielding such power corrupt myself into becoming a super villain myself?

  2. Another tricky one.

The old school one could solve lots of historical mysteries, but it's very tempting to use the modern one for personal gain, even though I don't lust for great wealth. Some of the things I really want to know can't come from any search engine. Becoming a better guitarist is helped by the various teachers out there, but it's down to me to absorb that and actually do it.

  3. I would have to go old school. So many significant people and events (no disrespect to the modern era).
